Customers, partners, and friends of Profitect,
Earlier today, Zebra Technologies (https://www.zebra.com) announced its intent to acquire Profitect.
Our vision from the beginning was to empower employees at the edge by delivering an enterprise-wide prescriptive analytics solution that made information actionable across multiple verticals. From the beginning, Profitect was intended to replace business intelligence, data visualization, and dashboard tools for actions, task management, traditional analytics and exception-based reporting solutions.
To achieve this vision we entered uncharted territory in every possible way across the retail and CPG industries. We continuously challenged ourselves to be better and improve the status quo; for ourselves, our team, our platform, and most importantly, for our customers and partners.
When we engaged Zebra Technologies five years ago about potential opportunities to collaborate, we realized there was a shared vision to empower the front line of business in retail/ecommerce, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, healthcare and other industries to achieve a performance edge. We share similar beliefs about culture and the relationship between success, people, and diversity.
Strategically, Zebra has been focused on expanding its portfolio of solutions that deliver a performance edge to retailers and CPG companies. After an exhaustive evaluation of analytical companies serving these markets, Profitect was identified as best-in-class for machine learning, prescriptive analytics, and customer satisfaction for retail and CPG.
We’re truly excited about the opportunity to join an organization leading efforts to empower every worker at the edge. Zebra is committed to expanding our technology offering, and deepening our world-class customer satisfaction, while still maintaining our customer-first culture.
As part of Zebra’s Intelligent Edge Solutions portfolio, Profitect will continue to operate as a standalone solution, delivering the same high level of service you’ve come to expect. This means we will still continue to hold our quarterly community calls and our annual user conference, PACT (Prescriptive Analytics Collaborative Training).
Please reach out to me if you have any immediate questions. We are proud to share the excitement this brings to our community of users.
As we embark on our next chapter, I want to recognize that our success would not have been possible without Profitect’s amazing employees and management, as well as the continuous support of our board members (Andrea Weiss, Brian Burns, David Schwab, Eddy Shalev, Eric Buatois, Janice Roberts, and Tony Palcheck), and our investors (BGV, Grayhawk, Vertical Ventures, and Genesis). I want to personally thank all of them for their dedication, commitment, trust in me and the team, and in believing all along that Profitect was something very special.
The future is brighter than ever and we’re looking forward to continuing our journey with you. This is only the beginning.
